Imagine a world where humans live for 200 years, creativity knows no bounds and mind-blowing technologies are a part of everyday life. I am Alex Romano, a passionate science-fiction lover and writer. Welcome to my futuristic world of Earth-10000.
It is a brand new post-post-apocalyptic genre. The apocalypse, called Caduta, had happened long, long ago, in 3022 AD. The action of my books starts in 10022. Earth and the other two inhabited planets, Kalu and Limb, fully recovered after the disaster. Humankind is rich, creative, and healthy. A long life allows everyone to fully realize themselves in their profession, science, or art.

It's not my normal scifi so I didn't know what I was getting into when I purchased it. But I was pleasantly surprised at the read. Fred, the main character is great as the put upon everyman trying to deal with unusual circumstances. Also, I liked the scenario and the world building. For those who don't mind a bit of whimsy in their scifi, this is a nice entry.

I entered my cabin. On my bed, there was a lady with an attractive and stylish appearance: flat like a boy, with deflated, also flat lips instead of which she had complicated tattoos in the form of tangled snakes. Her clothes were really fashionable as well, resembling an oversized pink silky bedsheet. “Are you feeling sad and lonely, Mr. Owen?” the girl asked with a strange sigh. She stretched out her hands as an invitation to join her. I sat down on the bed. “How can I call you, young lady?” “Are you feeling sad and lonely, Mr. Owen?” she repeated the question. “I see. Let’s try it this way: what is your name?” “Was your skills not impressive to the unfair boss?” the girl said abruptly. “It was impressive. Let’s try this: file, name!”

“Untitled.ani.” “He did not even try to create a name for it. Gross,” I muttered under my breath. The young thing instantly asked me if I was sad and lonely. But now, after getting her name, I knew what I had to do. “Untitled.ani!” I ordered her, “Author! Date!” “Author: Michel Hartman. Date of creation: January 11, 10022, 18:45 (E-UTS+3),” the miss answered in Michel’s voice. “Send a message to Michel Hartman: ‘Nice prank; not my cup of tea, though.’” She was quiet for a second, and then reported with her previous seductive voice: “Sent.” “Wonderful. Untitled.ani! Delete!” “Are you sure you want to delete Untitled.ani?” she asked. “Yes.” “The animation is too large to be moved to temporary storage and will be deleted permanently. Delete the file?” “Yes.” The lady was lying still for a few seconds and disappeared, leaving behind her a thin layer of gray dust. Well done, Michelle, it was the prank of the year. “Who was that woman?” I nearly jumped out of my skin and turned around. It was Hans who was sitting on the bean bag near the door. I saw him just an hour ago, but he had changed so much as though long time had passed. He changed weirdly. Not naturally, but at the same time very subtly. His gaze was roving and scattered, and his posture… He was sitting with his legs tucked under him, but they were bent at the knees so much that it was painful to even glance at them. “Who’s that woman?” he repeated. “That was… Uhhh… That was not a woman, simply an animation…” “Oh. What is an animation?” “An animation? Well, it’s… It is synthesized, it is an unstable matter organized in such a way…” I almost immediately got all of the explanations wrong because animations are such a common part of our life, just like electricity. Everyone uses it, but nobody ever thinks about the way it works. Meanwhile, a weird feeling grew inside of me, a feeling of irrationality and unreality of everything going on here. Me? Explaining the way animations work? To whom? Hans?! A specialist like him could only make fun of me for my ridiculous efforts… However, to my surprise, Hans instantly switched, jumped down from the bean bag, and suddenly poked the solar flashlight, laughed, and asked: “What’s this?”
